Why is Epic Games trying to erase Unreal Tournament from existence?

The UT games were delisted from every storefront, not even available on Epic Game Store. Valve has their classic games on Steam, so what gives?
I have my GoG copies of Unreal, and I guess there is always Quake, but why? Why doesn't Epic care about their past?

Because Fortnite. They make more money by getting players who want an FPS to get engaged with their heavily monetized Fortnite ecosystem than by just selling them a cheap copy of an old game.

Bethesda (Id really...): "Here, have free updates to our old games so that they can run on modern systems! Hell, we will even add the expansions for free if you don't have them already, and include a new one or two. Oh, and if you really don't want to use the new engine, here is the old games as well that you can use with your source port of choice. Enjoy!"

Epic: "Unreal? What's that? "

Kind of makes me want to go back in time and tell the Epic fanboys not to support this trash company.
