I really don't know how much you're allowed to talk about something like this on here, I certainly won't link or name it but it's easy to find.

Said site has been active about as long as I've been alive too, kinda sad.
Stuff like this is exactly why I don't count emulation as a perk to PC gaming, even though it gets listed a lot in comparison to just sticking with consoles.

I don't either, but not for this reason. More so that emulation is possible on everything, not exclusive to PC (even though it is happening on it more than other places).

Let's face it: emulation and ROMS have been around so long that doing this isn't going to have a significant impact. Another site will pop up, or everyone will just move onto another existing site.

The website that was shut down was up for 23 years. Wii servers were up for 18 years and 3DS servers were up for 13 years. The website had longer longevity than consoles lol.

raytan and Kana are on opposite ends of the Awesome Spectrum.
People think that it finally got the hammer because Apple recently allowed emulation apps so people who are ignorant of why it's kept secret made it blow up in popularity due to openly linking it in public spaces.

Also the website is still up(hence my reticence to name it), but it's been gutted of a huge portion of games.
That's pretty funny, considering they used that very site for the Wii virtual console version of Super Mario Bros.
Someone with a hacked Wii found that the ROM had a header from it.
What would Bligh do?
