when i make meatloaf, i soak bran flakes in milk to star getting a little soggy, and i then i drain the hell out of them and use that instead of crackers
you get a more moist loaf of meat while also enabling other tastes to get more depth
it's the same as using regular cornflakes, it's just i eat bran flakes so it's usually what's on hand
