I like that they never gave any of the politics behind the war and just had you experience what was going on
It was a super difficult watch for me lol
I actually dont lol. I defo would have preferred a lot more about the political backstory about why the president needed to be taken down. I totally get what they were trying to do but it wasnt what i was expecting
I saw the map and that apparently Texas and California were a team by themselves and that kinda sinks the immersion.
looks too stupid to care about
It really wasn't! It was more of a viewing on a journalist during the war. It was pretty laser focused on the individual experiences of the leads and not the overall premise. I thought the sound editing and soundtrack were also amazing.Ohh I had some weird association between it and the creators of that Sound of Freedom film, but I had it wrong.

That's kind of surprising, in the trailer it kind of seemed like they were pushing a "you're not a real american unless you believe in ????" narrative.
Same tbh, I wanted to know in what world California and Texas would ever team up...
Now I personally thought the ending was a bit anti climactic tbh.like a small ass squad of soldiers basically waltz in to the White House and find the president hiding under his desk of all places. And the soldiers kind of all posed after they shot him like it was some B-star action film lmao.

They showed a brief clip from a scene in which some psychopath is questioning an innocent person which "side" they're on. That's why he said "what kind of American are you?"
There are like 4 lines in the film about the cause of the war. You can infer but I think them tying Cali and Texas together blurred it so much you don't actually know what the war is over. Basically the behind the scenes is the president took over a 3rd term and it started the war. It doesn't say almost anything else about it.
Yeah the ending was a bit loose but I imagine at that point of loss there's no one left to fight for the president.
wait what the hell? When did you hear this lol

The point is, it doesn't matter. Anyone even asking that kind of question is deranged to begin with.
