I know, I worked at my fathers supermarket chain for a decade. I eventually had enough and went back to a university and got my bachelors. working on MS now

I've worked retail for nearly 30 years, and been on nights for 25 of them. If I was still working days, I'd be in prison by now.
The world may be going to Hell, but I am personally awash with convenience.

Working at my fathers stores made me honestly hate people
Edit: being removed from the environment for a few years has made me enjoy shopping at retail but I cringe when I over hear the stuff that other customers say

It was still crappy when I worked because they barely gave any hours to associates. I was getting 3 hours a week some weeks.

While I don't hate the thing my store sells, I certainly don't wanna partake in it anymore. Seeing the regulars everyday is depressing af (I sell depressants so it makes sense). I don't hate the public either. Bad folks are often just a vocal minority. People are generally good imo.

None of the ones near me. They typically have like a four-foot section, maybe a table display and some newer ones stacked by the registers, but that's it.
