Anyone playing Palworld?

It's easy to make one unique thing when you know everything.
It's difficult to make a hundred unique things compared to a thousand things.

There has been no unredacted claims that it's been copied.
There's been no C&D claim.
Nintendo knows about it.

They're brushing with the same palette. Round cute animals with very simple and bold colors. There's going to be overlap because there's straight up only so many animals and colors to work with. There's a reason why there's ice cream pokemon, ball pokemon, and snake pokemon. Shit's not actually that unique.
Palworld shit is supposed to look specifically like bootleg Pokemon. It is not an accident that people intuitively make the Pokemon comparison. The CEO of Pocket Pair's views about originality, Nintendo IP, and his respect for both are out there to find (and you'll never guess whether or not he thinks originality is overrated or not!). It is hilariously naive to think that Palworld just accidentally fell into making Ark Fortnite with Pokemon because "there's only so many colours, really." And even with all that, they didn't do anything legally wrong or truly morally heinous by copying so shamelessly. If they ripped or traced models and/or used AI to generate stuff those are different issues.
