I just want it to go like their original collaboration.

Sony starts doing a ton of pre-production work, then Nintendo gets cold feet and backs out of the deal. Then Sony, pissed off, uses all their finished work to create their own unique IP that proceeds to compete with Nintendo for the next 30 years.

Last time it was the Playstation (because Nintendo thought it was a smarter idea to work with Philips CD-i instead). Maybe this time we'll get an awesome live-action fantasy movie that's clearly inspired by LoZ but with enough changed so they can't get sued. And then they can spin it off into a franchise that lasts for decades.

The Mario movie wasn't amazing but a lot of people liked it though that was animated. Sony has done very well with the most recent Spider-Man animated movies this could be good.

My first thought when I heard about it was "This is probably going to stink", lol! Namely because movies (and TV shows for that matter) based off of games have very consistently been terrible. Especially when they're live action. We see it. We just dont hear it. The self insert part is so you can feel like Link said it the way you would, which is the self insert part. That said, he says all kinds of things. Like his name, and what he whole mission is Hell ask questions, and all kinds of stuff Not talking to make the movie version of him would not only be weird, but it could end up making a shitty movie, tbh
