Yeah marriage is outdated in the 1950s "Leave It To Beaver" sense but it can still be a very positive experience.
It's important to understand that marriage isn't about romance or family necessarily, it's a commitment to a mutually beneficial partnership in building a better life for the both of you, and for any prospective children should you two choose to go that route
Love and romance are important, but I'd argue that they're less important than being able to work together through adversity and being able to communicate and compromise with one another. You have to be able to adapt to the changing dynamics of a long-term relationship
More the former than the latter tbh
