the pandemic might have spelled the end of the 24 hr walmarts. Wonder why they won't go back to 24 hrs though. Have any stores by you gone back to 24 hrs?

Nope. And not only walmarts. Pretty much everything started closing earlier and never went back. Only 24 hour places now are QTs and waffle house

Nothing around us is open 24 hours anymore. A few had stopped even prior to the pandemic, I'm assuming because staffing costs more than offset any profits they made.

A lot of other places are still running shorter hours than they were pre-pandemic as well. I think a lot of places realized they didn't take a substantial loss in sales with the shorter hours and they spent less on staffing.

and as such, they aren't open 24h anymore

doing it for the pandemic is a way for them to just have an excuse that pretty much everyone would accept instead of then just trying it anyways. they've been wanting to stop being 24h for a while.

The Allsups around me are 24/7. But thats about it

It was very rare to find anything open 24 hours in my area pre-pandemic, let alone post-pandemic. They would usually try for a few months, then go back to at 10PM because they weren't making enough money during the time to make it worth while.

None of the Walmarts near me were ever 24 hours. The Jewel Osco near me used to be 24 hours, but is no longer due to staffing issues.

I think it was mainly the Super Walmarts that were 24/7 before But not many of the regular ones

They are as common, Ive noticed. I still have one back in my home town In my current town, there are 2 Super Walmarts, and 1 Neighborhood Market Walmart
