If they're talking about "texting" on snap, it's probably Snapchat. Less relevantly, scams around SNAP may be referring to the Supplementary Nutrition Assistance Program, which is the full name for food stamps in the US.

More commonly, they just make a bunch of throwaway accounts, send out a bunch of messages, then drop the account unless they get a bite. It's nothing so personal or closely-considered as looking at the age profile of the site.

Most of the time it's not even actual people - they just bot that shit.

You generally set the automated system to do a mass-spam mailing, then wait to see if anyone bites. But they'd be monitoring the Snapchat account for bites, not the account they used to do the mailings. Then don't touch the account again until the next time you want to spam a bunch of messages out.

Then it's probably just somebody trolling you. I don't know that anyone is actually trying to run a scam through GameFAQs PMs, given that there are substantially larger target bases that are easier to go after than the GameFAQs userbase.
