Okay, so, you are actually able to 100% Sun-speckled Terrace in the demo. If you spend a day or 2 setting up, like opening all the paths and doors and whatnot, you are then able to complete every cave, get every treasure, rescue every castaway, and get every Onion and Frarlic. And in addition to that, it turns out you can only have up to 3 types of Pikmin out at any time. You can find more than that in the demo. And according to the new overview trailer that dropped last night, in the main campaign you can find 8 types of Pikmin, and then the Glow Pikmin on night expeditions.
Also other interesting info, you can remap a ton of different actions to the d-pad. A surprising amount of customization there. Also treasures and corpses and whatever else can be carried are persistent across days. Corpses do not disappear at night anymore. At least for a couple nights. And that also means if you only partially move an object, where you left it is remembered. Also in the Piklopedia you can practice fighting enemies. And there's probably other things I'm forgetting, we're learning a lot about this game today. Why do I have to wait 3 weeks to get the full game? >_<
