After spending a good amount of time trying to get better at socializing

I realized that I don't especially like most people as much as I thought I would. I guess talking to people more just makes you realize how annoying they can be.

I learned to talk to people at my first job as a server where I had no choice

They were like, "you're kind of quiet you should be a cook" and I was like "no I want to be a server". Now I'm not afraid of talking to people anymore (because customers are scarier)

I'm still pretty shit at talking to people at parties and I just clam up. Don't know how other people do it

I'm a bartender so that has helped a lot but even before I got this job I was putting in effort with coworkers/friends of friends. I feel comfortable talking to anyone now, I am still quiet though because I don't like talking to people not because I'm afraid to talk to them anymore

Yeah, trying to socialize just tires me out and makes me uncomfortable. I prefer talking to animals because it doesnt feel like theyre judging you all the time.

Yeah I think underneath all the insecurity quiet people just don't find other people that interesting.

If they did, they would find an excuse to be outgoing.
