Makes some amount of sense. In books and games, you retain some degree of control over the progression and pace of the story. Movies, less so.

Not being scared even slightly is exactly why I don't enjoy the horror genre much. Feel at least having a unsettling feeling is kinda the point. For some reason only the game slender the arrival gave me that kinda feeling.

I would think games would be scarier just because they're more immersive and interactive. Especially VR games.

That seems weird. More so since movies are a lot less immersive. Books and games actually require your involvement to progress.

Probably a sign of some personality trait or something.

book I'm not sure but at least in a game things are happening to you the player. some horror movies seem a bit too much like torture porn, which I often don't like either.
