Obviously I do not have the mentality of a billion but I'd imagine I would at least give away something of notable amount. Hell, a few percentage of his asset is probably more than what the Federal government spend on some social aspects.
At that level of richness, he and several+ generations of his family and extended family is set for life. The only real thing one might work toward, besides the betterment of mankind, is your legacy.

Aye. Some of us are relatively giving of a few hundred of dollars a year to donations but like you said, the mentality of a billion is bound to be different from the rest of us.
