It was ok. I don't think it did anything interesting or even really told its own story very well. It looks like they attached the cloverfield name to it because otherwise no one would have watched it. It felt like it tried to explain parts of the first movie, with the one guy saying the
space station would awaken monsters in the ocean, or pull demons from other dimensions. I'm guessing that tied in to the aliens in Cloverfield lane, but honestly idk
