In RPGs, do you usually prefer turn-based combat or real-time combat?

If we're talking a party system, turn-based. Solo, I like WRPG-styled combat like in Bethesda games.

I agree with this. Parties need either excellent AI with lots of player control (Dragon Age: Origins had this) or they need to be turn-based with full player control (which actually DA:O also had as an option). For solo games, turn-based slows things down and doesn't really add anything.
