I don't want an Asian Iron Fist just like I don't want a white Luke Cage.
But would you care if a white character or asian character was cast in either show?
Depends on the role. Likeness is important to me.

get away with it for smaller roles, as no one(or at least, a vast majority) would really be watching Daredevil for Froggy Nelson. Even if it's not ideal.
Given that this is an entirely new character, I don't see how the he race of the actor should matter. It isn't like there aren't any white people in middle eastern countries
