I didn't watch his run at the time and I don't like his current persona, but going back and watching some of his older stuff he's pretty talented. He's a decent enough actor, but he never seems to do serious roles and I'm not sure he could carry a drama. He seems like a heckuva nice guy irl from a lot of the stuff I've seen.

No, but I don't like any wrestler, rapper or pop musician that moves into movies and gets roles that should be left to professionals/upcoming actors that have put in the work.
...overlooking that the Rock is himself a professional who put in the work.
