Here's the thing: You're trying to claim that people were voting for Charizard rather than Charmander which is 100% supposition. Charizard is PART of the appeal of Charmander. And, if you were picking a starter, it would eventually evolve. Everything about this goes against the concepts set forth in the other poll series and, despite that, Charmander is still more than holding his own.
