Eh, the game is already easy enough. Outside of White Wind, Big Guard, and Matra Magic (for a being an early cost effective and hard-ish hitting spell), I never saw much need for it, personally.
Maybe Im missing some awesome stuff, who knows, but year, I dont use it beyond the spells referenced above.
As soon as you realize Beta (or Aqualung) is learnable...
and I only just now got to 1000hp with everyone to live through AqualungThere's a water absorbing accessory around the area where you fight JenovaLIFE iirc.
The game is already easy as piss. You can breeze through 98% of it just spamming attack with occasional heals.Easy as piss, he says
And FF9 becomes dramatically easier when you learn L5 death, as Grand Dragons are vulnerable to it.God I cant stand Quina to this day. I never moved past the original 4 tbh once I got far enough to have all 8 and switch freely. Eiko got in once in a while but dagger was the main by far.

You can beat most encounters with a single Aqua Lung (Breath), Trine, Beta, or Magic BreathTrine is a bit weaker than the others. It's more MP efficient, but weaker in terms of raw damage per use.
Matra Magic was actually the one ability that I wanted to name in my OP and I forgot.
it made it so easy to grind early on, and I managed to get Aeris's 3rd limit break for the first time ever >_>
Right, and they dont help as much against singular tough enemies.I mean... They do help a lot. They're just not one hit KOs. Aside from final dungeon enemies and Vlakorados, very few enemies are going to survive more than one or two Magic Breaths or even Beta / Aqualung unless they resist / absorb it.
