Kotaku and ResetERA pretty much exist these days to make progressive gamers look bad while not actually representing them. That's the joke. It's why chuds/coomers constantly bring them up as if they were the smoking gun that proved their point.
Horny games are fine. Its pretty much just American puritan culture which demonises it, but thats a culture which should be shunned and ignoredExcept that's not what's happening here
Really most comments I see about Stellar blade are not from people claiming the character is too attractive and the game is bad, but from others claiming those people exist. It's almost like the act to protect the game is so strong they never even realized no one is attacking the game.
This is true, the more I think about it. I've barely seen anybody actually criticize the game, but I've seen a lot of people defending it from people supposedly attacking it.I mean, I have personally criticized its gameplay (I find it to be pretty bad) but it's not like that is something that Stellar Blade defenders actually have any interest in as they can't act morally superior to the complaints.

If the answer is obvious, explain Stellar Blade since that's the direct comparison here.
name a popular fighting game that doesn't have a horny reputation. rather it's a western or Asian studio the characters are mostly designed to be very attractive
Street Fighter, Tekken, Mortal Kombat series (MK9 did get it though)
Kotaku and ResetERA pretty much exist these days to make progressive gamers look bad while not actually representing them.Except that's the kind of people they're hiring for the consulting firms, sooooo..... yyyeah
ResetERA almost feels like controlled opposition. That it exists to give the worst leftist SJW perspective imaginable just to fuel the fire for conservatives. I know that's not true and they are just idiots with bad takes.
If the answer is obvious, explain Stellar Blade since that's the direct comparison here. This is like asking somebody to explain sarcasm to them and how to identify it.
Alright, but MY point being is that a sexy character is a sexy character. Trying to put any sort of deeper meaning on how one is "more acceptable" than the other is a fool's errand because at the end of the day you're ogling at an attractive character. And my point is this isn't the gotcha you think it is. It comes across as disingenuous, unless you really can't instinctively pick up on subtle and not-so-subtle nuances and you truly find the tantalizing nature of these games to be identical on the basis of having attractive and provocative characters. If that's the case, then my bad because I can't sufficiently explain it even if I had all the time in the world. And if you think that's a cop out then I think you know more about nuance then you're letting on.

And if you think that's a cop out then I think you know more about nuance then you're letting on.I was moreso trying to get him to explain why Stellar Blade is supposedly "overtly horny" compared to Hades II. He sorta did, but it seems to boil down to "Aphrodite is supposed to be that way" and that she's a side character, without even knowing if Eve was intentionally designed that way in-universe or if it was literally just for fanservice. Which I don't mind either way, as no matter what meaning you give a character to look the way they do, it was mostly designed to appeal to the players visually.
Man, never thought I'd be sympathizing with mods. There's just no way they can define what hornyposting is without people intentionally misconstruing it, even if they knew exactly what it is.
I really do see the issue as black and white, really. Aphrodite being excused because her design has a reason yet Quiet's design from MGSV having a reason is shamed or joked with. Make it make sense to me, lmao.Because one is supposed to represent the platonic ideal of the concept of beauty itself and the other one's just a hot lady because Kojima likes hot ladies, and then when called on it he tried to justify/shame it with "when you hear why she wears that you will regret your words and deeds" or whatever and then the reason turned out to be one of the dumbest things anyone's ever heard and not a single person felt bad about it because it was always exactly what it seemed. At least when Yoko Taro was called on it over 2B he was honest and just said "because I like hot women" instead of trying to feign some deep meaning behind it, which is why he didn't get slammed for it like Kojima did.
There's a character in Hades 2 that's completely naked with her private areas covered with her long hair. I'd post a screen of it but, y'know.
I was told by a mod we can post official artwork or game screen shots just can't make any sorta sexual comments about it.No more h***ing s****ers

The worst people.... As if people vehemently against it aren't saying nasty things like this
But only Stellar Blade seems to be getting negative coverage over the horniness.
I have heard the creators of Stellar Blade have kowtowed to incels before. I do think a lot of viewpoints around something can be based around how the creators viewpoints are. If creators can show that they're openly progressive they'd be a lot more accepted.
Incels hate women though. Stella Blade is Isn't targeting people.who hate all women.Incels hate real life women. They love video game (especially anime-stylized) ones.
Incels hate real life women. They love video game (especially anime-stylized) ones.Horn dogs =/= incels. But yeah I agree fictional women are the only type they tolerate.
Stella Blade may not be targeting only incels, but it is very much targeting them.

I remember when they fired those nosy nancys who were trying to make the company more regressive. Its funny hearing gamefaqs posters say similar things to what IGN France said about the creator never seeing a woman before and then he posts a picture of his beautiful wife who's working on the game
I mean i havent heard a single person say theyre gonna buy Hades specifically because Aphrodite is naked. Those people likely won't even play Stella Blade, they are simply using that game to show how bad Western Games are.
On the other hand, ive seen a concerning amount of people praising Stellar Blade for being courageous enough to have hot woman and saying theyre going to buy it because the main character is hot.
I'm about as much for sex-positivity as you can get but going the opposite end doesn't help anything. If some virtue signalers are moralizing themselves over a race they don't belong in that doesn't mean the KKK opposing them are suddenly based. Not sure really how we got from appreciating attractive women to one of the most notorious and deplorable racist groups in American history.

Which is funny since Hades is a western developed game, made in California.
Lmao I can't take anyone seriously that uses chud unironically.I didnt say you did, I said youd fit right in on that board.
CE is my home, I don't even have a PlayStation 5.
Aw come on bro, you've been around me enough to know me better than that. I've been regularly pushing back against puritans. My bad
My badGiggety.
What should I tag you as then? The big sex?
Nice, you are the third person to notice this in the 7 years I've had this username. If you are being serious than that is pretty sad.
